Partner vs Friendship Bundle — a flowchart for two

You and one other person want to train together. You've narrowed the decision to two bundles: the Partner Bundle (2 suits, 1 Power Box) at SAR 8,499, or the Friendship Bundle (2 suits, 2 Power Boxes) at SAR 12,999.
The price difference is SAR 4,500. The use case difference is one Power Box — and whether you can train at the same time. Here's the decision.
The single question that decides this
Will you and your training partner usually train at the same time, or at different times?
If different times — Partner Bundle. One Power Box is fine, you take turns, you save SAR 4,500.
If same time — Friendship Bundle. Two Power Boxes lets you train in parallel, no waiting, no scheduling friction.
That's the whole decision. Below is the math on why "same time" matters more than people think.
Why "same time" is harder to maintain than it sounds
When we ask couples about their training schedule, most say something like "we'll train at different times — he likes mornings, I like evenings". That sounds like a clean split. In practice, here's what happens:
Week 1: he trains Tuesday morning. She trains Tuesday evening. Power Box gets used twice, no friction.
Week 3: she had a hard day Tuesday and skipped. He had work travel Thursday. Both end up wanting to train Saturday morning. One person waits 25 minutes for the other to finish, then quickly trains, then they're late for breakfast plans. The wait kills the second person's enthusiasm. Over weeks, this happens enough that one person trains and the other doesn't.
In our data, couples on Partner Bundles average 1.4 sessions per person per week. Couples on Friendship Bundles average 1.9 sessions per person per week. Same-time training keeps both partners consistent.
The financial side
Partner Bundle: SAR 8,499. Two suits, one Power Box.
Friendship Bundle: SAR 12,999. Two suits, two Power Boxes.
Difference: SAR 4,500. That's essentially the price of the second Power Box at sale, minus the bundle discount.
For comparison: SAR 4,500 = roughly 11 studio sessions (at SAR 400 each), or 4 months of Tabby instalments (4 × SAR 1,125), or about half the cost of a Solo bundle. It's real money, not a rounding error.
When the Partner Bundle is the right choice
You and your partner have genuinely separated training times — one trains mornings, the other evenings, and your work schedules support that consistently.
You're budget-conscious and the SAR 4,500 saving lets you actually buy now rather than wait six months.
You're unsure whether your partner will stick with EMS — start with the cheaper bundle, upgrade to a second Power Box later if needed. (We sell standalone Power Boxes at SAR 5,249, so you can step up later for SAR 749 more total than buying Friendship now — minor financial cost, big optionality.)
You travel a lot and one of you will rarely be home at the same time as the other anyway.
When the Friendship Bundle is the right choice
You and your training partner are home at the same time and want to actually train together — same room, same playlist, social accountability. This is the dominant reason couples upgrade from Partner to Friendship.
You're both busy and the only realistic shared training window is the same 30-minute block on weekday evenings. Sharing one Power Box means one of you waits, which kills consistency.
You want to train at different intensities. The Onyx App allows fully independent intensity settings on two Power Boxes, so a 75kg lean partner and a 95kg muscular partner can each train at appropriate load.
You see the SAR 4,500 over the lifetime of the suit (3+ years of training) and decide it's worth the consistency it buys.
A practical recommendation
Most couples' first instinct is to save the SAR 4,500. Most couples' actual training pattern works better with two Power Boxes.
If you're reading this and you're genuinely unsure: start with the Partner Bundle. The financial commitment is smaller, you can use it for 30 days, and if you find yourselves wanting to train at the same time, add a standalone Power Box later for SAR 5,249. Total cost: SAR 13,748 — basically the same as the Friendship Bundle, with a free chance to test the assumption first.
If you and your partner know yourselves and you know you'll train together — buy the Friendship Bundle outright. The savings and consistency are worth it.
